HOW TO USE GAM HEAT SHIELD
For best results use the GAM Heat Shield 99 between the light and the color filter. Separate the two elements by approximately one inch (2.5cm), allowing air to flow between the two so as to carry away the built up heat. GAM Heat Shield 99 prolongs gel life in two ways. It disburses some of the heat concentration and it eliminates most of the ultraviolet which is very detrimental to color. It also provides a barrier which allows air flow to redistribute heat from the light source.
