![]() The primary colors for subtractive color mixing are often described as green, yellow and red or more exactly cyan, yellow and magenta (CYM). Using CYM is recommended so as not to confuse subtractive color mixing primaries with additive color mixing primaries (see Color Mixing with Light). In subtractive color mixing, red blue and green are the secondary colors resulting from the mix of two of the cyan, yellow or magenta primaries.
