NOTES FOR DEFINING THE THREE UNIQUE

CHARACTORISTICS OF A COLOR (The color of light)



HUE - The color, named for its dominate wavelength in the visable spectrum. For example the HUE is red.

VALUE - The intensity of brightness of the color as it is compared to its 'lightest to darkest' range from 'white' to 'black'.

CHROMA - The saturation or purity from the most vivid to the most dull.

WHITE - The presence of all color.

BLACK - The absence of all color.
